dottist makes dot-to-dot coloring books that you color by letter instead of by number. Next to every page in the book there is a QR code; scanning it takes you straight to the color guide for that page.
How the QR code works
Point your phone camera at the code. The page that opens shows the colors used on that coloring page, their names and letter codes. Tap a color to copy its HEX value.
Why color boxes instead of hex codes?
Seeing the real color on screen is faster and clearer than reading a hex code. Every row still shows the hex value, and tapping a color copies it.
Are the letter codes the same in every book?
Yes. X is always black, G is always antique gold. You only learn the code once.
Does every page use the whole palette?
No. The palette has 20 colors; each coloring page uses only 6–8 of them. The guide page shows you just the ones on that page.
Can I download the pages?
The three sample pages on the home page can be downloaded as black-and-white printable PNGs, free. The full 75-page books are coming soon.
Is the site free?
Yes, it is purely informational. Nothing is for sale.
